Director/Lead Educator

Hi, I am Casey and I am the founder of Wonderland Family CDC.  I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Child Development at California State University, Dominguez Hills.  I was trained with a strong Reggio Inspiration while working at Cerritos College CDC.  I then went on to work at an amazing school in Long Beach called Little Sunshine House where I mentored staff in Reggio practices and Emergent Curriculum.  I then moved to Los Alamitos School District where I aspired to bring a more true Emergent Curriculum to the district. I made the difficult choice to quit my job and be a stay at home mom for my 6 month old triplets. After a few months, I realized I had a wonderful opportunity to achieve one of my lifelong dreams of creating my own childcare center. So, I began on my journey to create a special place for children to learn and develop at their own pace provide with a rich environment that would allow them to explore, take risks, and co-construct knowledge alongside peers. To ensure I stay informed of best current practices, I am currently attending Pacific Oaks College to obtain my Masters in Human Development: Leadership in Education and Human Services.  I am an Outdoor classroom Specialist and a mentor teacher with the California Mentor Teacher Program. I can't wait for your family to join us at Wonderland.
